LEON GILL

Growing up in Oldham Greater Manchester Leon Gill had an early entry into music - tagging along to gigs as soon as he could walk and soaking up inspiration from those around him in Manchester’s thriving music scene. From teenage jam sessions into the early hours with seasoned musicians (from The Dakotas, Proud Mary; Victor Brox) – Leon Gill has a rock solid foundation of grit and finesse. From these northern roots, through years of stage, studio and session work; pub gigs and local jam sessions to the Pyramid stage of Glastonbury; 4 track recordings to BBC live @ Maida Vale. Hundreds of hours of fine-tuning and graft have given us Leon Gill – literally a one-man band. Self-taught across multiple instruments and with a killer instinct for feel and timing, Leon Gill weaves hooks and dirty riffs with lush harmonies to create a multi-layered sound.
